“Ammar Durga” – The Story of Women Empowerment
Women empowerment is a term which has been associated with our Nation for several years now. Women started off their journey as a part of the uneducated household. They were simply kept in houses to fulfill their household duties. Women in India faced problems like child marriage and dowry. Women were considered a liability in our society as they weren’t educated and couldn’t earn their living. This gave rise to social evils like female foeticide and infanticide as people didn’t want a girl child.
Coming to the present scenario of our country women have fought for their rights and upliftment in our society. Mother Teressa has devoted her life for the empowerment of women in our country. This has led to larger number of women earning their livelihood, reaching heights people could have never dreamt of a few decades ago. Our story is all about these women and we honour them as “Amaar Durga”. The Central and State Government has given several rights and reservations for the upliftment of women in our society. “Amaar Durga” has come a long way from where they started and create a different standing in the society. “Amaar Durga” has left their mark on education, sports, literature, performing arts and many other such achievements of our country. However, many women are still stuck in the past and are still trying hard to get out of that nutshell into their new world. Indian women still have a lot of climbing left. Our story “Amaar Durga” is to motivate and encourage them to achieve their goal.
Women talk about equal to men in the society and demand rights for that. The day women stop talking about equality and set their target to reach a position higher than men, that day they would climb the peak of the mountain and our Nation would be proud of each and every women in our society. All men are praying for the women to climb to the peak of that mountain and hoist our Nation’s flag on it. That day we citizens would be proud to be the part of a developed nation.
